Mt. Tsukuba Beyond the Rice Fields: Discovering the Rural Landscape of Konda

Hello everyone! I am a first-year master's student studying Environmental Design at the University of Tsukuba.
On October 12, 2026, I visited the Konda area between 4:15 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. to observe the beautiful landscape.
In this photo, we can see wide rice fields with Mt. Tsukuba in the background. The rice has already been harvested, and green plants are growing in the fields. The afternoon sunlight makes the landscape look warm and beautiful. I think this is a peaceful place because there are open fields, mountains, and a wide sky. This landscape shows how nature and farming are connected. As an Environmental Design student, I am interested in how beautiful natural views like this can help people feel calm and relaxed.
